Government Directs Airlines to Verify Polio Vaccination Cards of Passengers

Date: July 31, 2023

In adherence to government directives, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued a mandate to airlines to verify the polio vaccination cards of passengers traveling abroad.

To comply with the newly implemented travel regulations, NADRA has imposed a travel ban on passengers who do not possess valid polio vaccination cards.

In line with the latest guidelines, NADRA authorities have communicated instructions to airports across the country, including Karachi, to verify the polio vaccination cards of all outbound passengers.

Passengers planning to travel abroad are urged to ensure they carry their updated online polio vaccination cards, as the old polio cards issued by NADRA are no longer valid.

It is now mandatory for all travelers to obtain the updated online polio card to meet the current travel requirements.
