“Sindh Minister Inaugurates Public Economy Housing Project, Aims to Provide 4,000 Units for Low-Income Households”

Date: August 10, 2023

Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, the Sindh Minister for Local Government and Housing & Town Planning, has inaugurated a significant Public Economy Housing Project. This initiative is designed to address the housing needs of low-income households by delivering 4,000 housing units.

The project’s official statement outlines the construction of single-unit bungalows spanning various sizes from 80 to 200 square feet. These units will be developed across a vast 250-acre area within Scheme 45 Tesar Town, under the guidance of the Malir Development Authority (MDA).

During the inauguration event, Minister Nasir Shah emphasized the alignment of this visionary project with the vision of Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The primary goal is to provide essential amenities and maximum relief to people, enabling homeownership dreams for low-income households.

In addition to this, Minister Shah announced another initiative directed by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, whereby the Sindh government will allocate 3500 plots to the families of martyrs from Pakistan Army, Rangers, Police, and civil society activists affected by terrorism incidents.

This housing initiative follows the recent launch of a low-cost housing scheme by the Karachi Development Authority (KDA), showcasing the government’s commitment to addressing the housing needs of lower-income groups.

Minister Shah expressed confidence in the timely and transparent completion of the scheme, commending the dedicated efforts of MDA officers.

Furthermore, the housing project places a strong emphasis on security, incorporating modern camera installations, a petrol pump, a highway link gate, and advanced parking facilities to ensure the convenience and safety of residents.
