Asif Sumsum Assumes Role as Chairman of the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD)

In a unanimous election during the Annual General Meeting at ABAD House, Karachi, prominent builder and developer Asif Sumsum secured the position of Chairman for the term 2023-2024 on Saturday. Asif Sumsum, who previously served as Chairman Southern Region for ABAD, takes the helm, while Ibrahim Habib, Mustafa Sheikhani, and Zeeshan Siddiqui were elected Senior Vice Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Chairman Southern Region, respectively.

The AGM, attended by a substantial number of Association members, saw the election of these new office-bearers. Their tenure officially commences on October 1, 2023.

Former ABAD Chairman and Patron In Chief Allied Panel, Mohsin Sheikhani, welcomed the newly elected office-bearers during the AGM. He applauded the outgoing officials for their dedicated efforts in advancing the interests of ABAD members and contributing to the economic prosperity of the country despite challenging circumstances. Sheikhani commended the unity among ABAD members and expressed confidence that this unity would persist for the continued progress and prosperity of the nation.

In his address, the newly elected Chairman, Asif Sumsum, expressed gratitude to all ABAD members, particularly Mohsin Sheikhani, for the unanimous election of the new ABAD team. He pledged to work tirelessly, without discrimination, to address the challenges faced by ABAD members and contribute to the overall improvement of the construction industry in Pakistan. Sumsum emphasized his commitment to leveraging all available resources for industry development under the visionary leadership of Mohsin Sheikhani.

The newly elected Senior Vice Chairman, Habib Ibrahim, Vice Chairman, Mustafa Sheikhani, and Chairman Southern Region, Zeeshan Siddiqui, also extended their thanks to all members for their support. They assured members that they would spare no effort in resolving ABAD’s challenges and fostering the advancement of the construction industry.

The transition of office-bearers was formalized during the Annual General Meeting at ABAD House, Karachi, and the new leadership will officially assume their roles on October 1, 2023.
